Our living area feels quite busy. Would it be worth colour drenching the far end wall off white (but leaving white cornice and skirting). Image 2 as en example.
Our front doors come straight into the living room so it’s tricky to store coats. Hung on the door for now.

Picture 2 for sure!!!
I’m image 2 had changed the entire lighting situation. Everything in that room’s hue has been shifted more warm. I think you’d still get a nice result, but it won’t look as soft as that image.
