Please help my husband and I settle a debate. We have a feature wall that was built in our lounge with a recessed TV and boxed cavities for decor. Our home has white walls everywhere and our flooring is a grey tone. I think we should add some warmth and use a very subtle warm paint colour on the feature to give it a slight warm contrast against the other walls, however my husband wants to keep it the same and paint it white. Attached photo’s of our feature wall and have asked AI to change the colour to compare.
Thoughts?

I’d go with the subtle warm paint. The white looks clean, but it also makes the whole wall blend into the room. A soft warm greige or beige would add depth without feeling busy, especially with the grey flooring. It would make the built-ins stand out a bit more.
A led….some plants….decoration items…..a frame….and its look fabulous
Team of you! ! Painting it a subtle warm tone is definitely the right choice and it makes the beautiful wooden mantel pop and ties in perfectly with the sunlight. If your husband paint it pure white like the rest of the house, the cool grey flooring will make the whole space feel way too sterile.
