Tried experimenting with dark walls in the spare room/office but it feels cold and jarring against the light carpet (partner non-negotiable). The room is also quite light – south facing with two windows each side – although the front window (behind bed) faces an alley way so view is of a concrete wall!
I’m thinking of colour drenching the whole room in ‘out of office’ by Coat – a clay/beige colour, putting in a wood slat partition between the desk and the bed for a bit of separation (we have people stay maybe once every couple months). Putting hessian curtains up both ends, changing light to big rattan woven lampshade and changing bedding to soft green.
Will the colour complement the grey carpet, walnut wood acoustic boards/desk and black furniture?
