My husband and I recently went under contract on this house and while we adore the home itself, the paint colors leave something to be desired. We were originally thinking of replacing the yellow with SW Evergreen Fog, but I'm still unsure. Our current house is very dark and moody with lots of jet black, emerald green, gold, and funky decor. I'm looking for any color suggestions, but I suppose I'd also be down for wallpaper in some spots if that worked too.
I want it to be warm and welcoming, but still have our funky vibe. None of the decor is ours, this is all from the sellers. Photo of our current living room at the end. Looking to refine that general vibe as well.

I think that busy rug is clashing hard with the stone fireplace, making the whole vibe feel super cluttered.Just swap it for a warm, solid-colored rug first to calm the space down, then drop in a dope wallpaper later to bring back that funky personality without the chaos.
