I’ve just moved in a couple of weeks ago (my first house purchase yay) so excuse the emptiness.
I’m really stuck on what to do with this area at the beginning of my kitchen. It feels too big to ignore but too small to do much with.
I still need somewhere for coats and shoes because I’ve decided I want a console table in the hallway instead (there isn’t really anywhere else they could go, it’s a Victorian terrace for reference. The radiator side is awkward as there’s only enough room for something about the size of the current shoe rack in between the wall and the radiator, and on the other side the door opens into the space. There’s about 1.4 metres between the wall with the door and the back of the breakfast bar stools.
I’d love for it to feel intentional rather than just a place to dump shoes and coats. I’m open to any ideas! My general style is mid century modern with lots of wood, plants, and pops of colour if that helps at all.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Coat rack / hooks on wall behind door, shoe rack beneath, big art on wall by table. Doesn’t need anything else. Door stop behind door.
