Has anyone tried Chateau Musar Blanc? Really wanted the red but accidentally had the white ordered in, I’m just excited to try some CM! If anyone has had it please let me know what your thoughts are! What would you compare it to? is 2018 ready to drink or should I have opened already?

Yes, it’s ready to drink now and it’s excellent. I had the 2017 last year, posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/wine/s/XdY2UksKaA
Lovely surprise, the white is a bit of an outlier but I love Musar for being so different from everything else. 2018 should be drinking beautifully right now, loads of honeyed citrus and a slight oxidative thing going on, pop it in the fridge for 20 mins before opening. Hope you enjoy it
Had some from under the table at their stand at the London wine fair a while back! And my dad has opened the odd bottle, very atypical, Herby, powerful, 2018 is a bit young though! I’ve never tasted any really old stuff but it only gets released 7 years after harvest and apparently it ages incredibly so definitely don’t drink it all now but if you have a few I’d try one now. If you do let us know how you find it!
Pop it open and let us know how it lands, the Lebanese whites are so funky and savory compared to anything else out there
It was a pretty hot vintage, and the wines big on a normal vintage, so I would suggest drinking soon-ish to avoid losing what acidity and texture it has.
