Are you planning on hanging a TV or anything on the wall? I generally don’t like when the sofa covers the windows, especially in a smaller space so I am favoring the first option, but the other configuration would make sense if you plan on mounting a TV. An L shaped sectional or chaise would be perfect for this space.

2nd layout! Needs something in the wall opposite the couch though.

I think the couches facing across from one another is better! If you put them perpendicular it looks like the one should have a tv in front in the wall!
Them facing each other makes it look welcoming, and more conversational! But that’s just my opinion!

Can you do the couch where the chairs in last picture are and the chairs in front of the windows and slightly separated with the poof thing in between them?

I like the setup in the last 2 photos best because of a better flow into the kitchen.

Second one! Looks cozier and the layout creates a nook compared to the first one.

I prefer not to block windows with furniture. It adds the inconvenience to your life of making it more difficult to open and close them, which is bad Feng Shui.

Have you tried the sofa under the windows with the 2 chairs opposite each other on the remaining 2 walls?

Alternative idea: one chair under each window and couch facing toward the chairs/window with a skinny sofa table behind it.

Try with the sofa facing the windows and one chair on each side. I can’t tell if you have enough space for this set up, but without a tv or fireplace then I would think the windows should be the focal point.

The second layout is definitely nicer. Get a round or oval coffee table if possible.
I had the same set-up. A round coffee table makes a huge difference visually.

I liked the first set up. You can actually face your company and talk. The last one has one of the seats facing a wall. Who wants to face a wall?
Asleep_Repeat3367
2nd layout and add a larger rug to under both sofas slightly.

1 looks less cluttered somehow

First one because of the windows. If you hang nice curtains it will look much nicer.

L shaped one but put the book shelf across from the couch up against the empty wall

The second is way more inviting.
