I’ve been trying to transform my apartment to look more like this first photo. I finally ordered some trim from Amazon. It’s not wood, and im not sure if it’s because I mentally and physically know it’s not wood that now I’m unsure about it or if it’s the color difference that’s throwing me off. Or maybe I’m just over thinking this entirely. The first photo is the inspo and the second is just a sample of the trim on the wall.

Yes. Put it up and then paint the trim and the wall the same colour
There should be balance in lights/colors. Unless u trying to build batman cave.
If u using 2700 light bulbs , furniture should be lighter.
