I'm about to do a feature wall in my bathroom with this William Morris wallpaper "The Brook." I want to do as much as I can to protect it, as it will be in a humid environment. Is there a sealant or varnish I should be using on it? I was told by a colleague to use "decorator's varnish" but I can't find anything that matches that description at home depot.
Thanks!

Modern Masters makes a Dead Flat Decorators Varnish. But I’d probably not apply any varnish. If it’s installed correctly, it should hold up just fine.
If you do get the decorators varnish, you need to find an *excellent* painter, not an amateur or a normal professional. Varnishes like this require special techniques and a really light touch to get to apply uniformly. Even though they’re “dead flat”, they do still have a subtle sheen to them. And if the application isn’t done really well, it looks spotty.
