My partner and I have moved into a beautiful mid century home in New Zealand. The upstairs and all other rooms in the house have all day sun with huge windows, but the master bedroom is so sad. The previous owners, bless their confidence, painted most coloured walls grey! Including the deck, exterior or the house, and two main bedrooms. The character of the home has been stripped, except the beautiful native timber staircase. We can’t yet afford to change the carpet. I need to paint the walls and I’m willing to pay to have the curtains in this room changed. The bedroom is like a cave! The one requirement is that the curtains need to block out the light and thermal, but I’m hoping to have a light linen on the front. The ceiling paint is half pearl lustre, which matches the remainder of the house.. please provide me with colour suggestions..
