So for the summer I have given myself the task of redecorating my parents house. My parents still have kids in the house and lots of animals. The cats have ruined the blinds. The kitchen goes through a lot especially with the kids. My siblings love to bring the outside indoors💔 if there are recommendations, please consider that.
My mother wants to keep the kitchen more neutral so she can change things up easier with like paintings, pictures or just smaller details. She definitely wants dark wood cabinets. I redid the trimming on a door in the living room and she fell in love with the dark wood look.
I have edited pictures of my parents kitchen trying to see what works best. I tried black counter but looking it up in the internet it seems that black counters constantly look dirty. First picture is the original kitchen.
Please help, I am in art block of some sort and cant figure out how to make this kitchen pop to its full potential.
