Want it to feel put together and adult but really struggle due to the size/vastness of it. Should we put in shelves or what? That’s a 75 inch tv to give scale. There’s kind of a half back wall as well 🙁 Couch and coffee table came with the house

I would turn the couch the other way, so the back is by the windows rather than the stairs.
My parents had shadow boxes built with molding in our 2 story foyer, you could do that
Honestly with a 75 inch in there you kinda have to “anchor” it or the wall will always feel weirdly empty. I’d do a low, long media console under the TV, then build up with a couple floating shelves and maybe one big art piece on the side instead of a million little things.
Also, pull the couch in a bit if you can and throw a big rug under everything. That alone makes it feel intentional instead of “TV in a void.”
