First pic is the current living room from the previous owners. Second pic is my vision with the layout and pieces I like. Is my furniture choice, placement, and colour too much?
Looks nice. Red green is a classic complementary pairing.

My small tweak would be to repeat the green a little more intentionally, maybe with one or two sage or olive pillows on the sofa, so the chairs feel connected to the rest of the room. I’d also keep the coffee table styling simple since the rug and art already bring a lot of pattern.
