Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte hosted French President Emmanuel Macron during Italy-France Summit in Naples on a visit to symbolic places in the historic heart of Naples on Thursday.
The head of the Elysee was seen shaking hands with PM Conte as a band of Carabinieri, national gendarmerie of Italy, flanked the red carpet that would lead the personalities towards the Palace Chigi.
The bilateral summit and the signing of the Italy-France Treaty took place during Macron’s visit, relaunching the Quirinal Treaty after two years of a frozen agreement period.
Some of the main discussed themes include an increased Italian presence in the Sahel region to combat militants, industrial policy agreements, migration, green shift and space.
