
I tried both of these wines last weekend and they tasted very strange to me. For reference, I usually drink Cabernet’s and Malbecs. They both definitely had a lot of acid, but the finish was new to me. It was a long finish very acidic that tasted just like lemon juice. It didn’t even really taste like alcohol, and honestly just tasted like sour juice with no “bite” at the end. I have never had wine from this region before and I’m trying to figure out what I was detecting. Was it a lack of tannins? Has anyone else experienced this and know what I’m talking about?
