Hi! After years my partner and I were finally able to purchase a home and would love to make it our own cozy nook for a long time! (The pictures are from the seller's decoration).
Thing is the floor is all white-greyish and we sadly cannot change it, so we'll have to make do and since where we live the weather's grey all year round and it can get really dark so a warm decoration is a top priority for us!
What would you do to make the living room/ kitchen feel warm and cozy?
The kitchen's something we'd like to change but that's years ahead.
Maybe rugs would help?
We are considering painting the big wall (on the side with no windows) a colour; suggestions would be very welcome!
Our fridge wil have to sit awkwardly in a corner because of the window/power socket position
We love warm decoration and colors and are a bit stumped on how to make our kitchen/living room cozy. We want to avoid beige/grey and blacks as much as possible.
Any advice is appreciated!

Yeah. That last pic. Your area is a blank slate. Add pillows, colorful paintings, rugs. Just design what color pallet you’d like to work through out, blocked out jewel tones, florals, abstract… like that.
