Hi all, I moved into my first apartment and I’m not sure how to utilize this balcony space. I’m thinking maybe some fake grass cut to shape from home depot could look good. Perhaps the fake grass for a part of it and an outdoor rug for another? Any other ideas so make it more comfortable and cozy but also budget friendly?
Will probably stay here for two years so I definitely don’t want to do something that will be difficult to reverse.
I’m open to all ideas! Thank you

Congratulations!!
If those boards are smooth I think to start your money could be better spent on a small patio set — chairs and table, and potted plants GALORE (can’t recommend without knowing more about location, sun exposure, etc), and maybe a string of Edison lights. If they aren’t smooth then I think an outdoor rug would be prettier and easier to move and re-use than astroturf. Not saying it *can’t* be reused, but for some reason IME it can pick up a lot of crap over time.
If you need privacy, lattice can be your best friend.
