Some mornings at Le Demi Château begin quietly.
In this short postcard from rural France, I start the day slowly: making fresh orange juice, reading a few pages with Anita curled up beside me, and enjoying the calm rhythm of the house.
A small delivery arrives for the open barn project, lanterns that will soon light warm evenings outside.
But for now, the morning ends the best way it can… sitting by the fire as the house slowly wakes up.
