I realllllly did not see one item that I would be interested in, thanks for sharing. ❤
You are such lovely people, you've accomplished so much, and I enjoy following your project. But I don't understand why you keep cramming the poor castle full of this 1970s stuff. I'm a bit older than you, and I remember well that in the 1980s everyone thought these things were ugly. Flea markets were full of them back then, but nobody wanted the junk. Okay, times have changed, and today it's recognized as design. And my perspective has changed too. But why do you need a castle for that? A Brutalist-style house or a bungalow would be perfect. But why don't you buy something that would better appreciate and respect the style and age of the castle?
Yes please. Take us wine tasting in Burgundy sometime to celebrate the end of the current renovation project 🙂
Naughty Philip 😂. 🦘😊
I recommend Catawiki – online auction platform with many designer items. It has so many items and curated by professionals.
Very pricey, I agree. I love thrift/antique/secondhand and decorate that way almost exclusively, but half of the fun is the bargain hunting, so I would be disappointed in the prices even as I enjoyed looking at all the pretty things.
You are both so fair in your description of the markets and their prices. As you said they are professional and the amount of work to restore, haul the pieces to the site is immense. Sometimes it is worth the trip to gain confidence/ recognition when you happen to run into pieces online or local and then you are educated that much more. Anyway always a good time when spent together. Love your content!!
Would be nice if you host an artist festival at your future hotel if you finish the other building to display art
ANNA woukd you share the name or website for the tapestry you bought. I’d love to see them!
Thank you for keeping the world informed!!!
oh my God, those market prices are crazy. Ridiculous. Especially those glass tables and they cost so much less in Toronto.
You should come to Germany, especially to Radschlägermarkt Düsseldorf to find cool stuff at reasonable prices!
That was 90% low quality junk yard sale with prices like at premium shops at Clignancourt. The dissonance is saddening , strange and depressing. Are they all waiting for that one lottery winner who is going to come and pay 1800 for an ugly floorlamp?
So much temptation
I don't know how to connect to you but I was wonder when our scarves will arrive .
I actually laughed out loud at the creepy kid paintings. Thanks for a long chuckle!
Lovely to see you both out and about and looking relaxed and chilled, but oh my that was an expensive market . Have a look at the market Terry and Ash went to ,beautiful things but so much cheaper 🤗
Takes a lot of antique shopping trips to make the attic cleanup videos.
I had to stop watching couldn’t relate to those outrageous prices.
Beautiful tapestries. Well done!😊
I went to this market on the third day and I was very disappointed. The prices were very high. I would rather visit antique stores for items I’m willing to pay up for and brocantes for the hunt. I’m sure the third day was part of the issue, but i’m glad I was in Paris for other reasons and I did not make a special trip for the market. Also the food was horrible and took to long to get service.
