This video shows one of the most creative cooking concepts ever made — the “Cook This Page” recipe sheet by IKEA.

Instead of using measuring cups or complicated instructions, this recipe is printed directly on food-safe parchment paper. The sheet contains life-size outlines of ingredients, so you simply place each ingredient on the matching shapes printed on the page.

For example, the berry crumble recipe includes outlines for:
• Fresh berries like raspberries and blueberries
• Pre-measured crumble topping (flour, butter, sugar)
• Small amounts of flavoring like lemon juice or vanilla
Once the ingredients are placed in the correct spots, you fold the parchment sheet into a cooking packet using a French cooking method called “en papillote.”

Then the entire packet goes straight into the oven.

As it cooks, the parchment traps steam inside, which:
• Locks in moisture
• Intensifies flavor
• Prevents burning
• Keeps cleanup minimal

The diagrams on the paper are printed using food-grade edible ink, meaning the ink is completely safe to come into contact with food while baking.

The concept was originally released as a limited promotional campaign during IKEA kitchen events in Canada and became famous worldwide for its simple, visual cooking design.

It perfectly reflects IKEA’s philosophy — making complex things simple, visual, and easy to follow, just like their furniture assembly guides.

Even though these sheets were a limited edition, the idea became one of the most innovative food design concepts ever created.

  1. you can't wash the paper prior to use, and its exposed for Everyone to take from the hanger to buy. hygiene doesn't exist

  2. It's fine. But you could also just buy a cookbook for parchment package meals and do the same thing. It's not like the placement of the ingredients in the specific spots matters if you just roll it up anyways.

  3. It looks like using chatgpt or ai. Nowadays ppl can not execute any stuff except it is laid out like kindergarten in front of you like the answer from chatgpt.
