Legacy of Luxury: Atlanta Michelin Guide | Hotel Clermont + Tiny Lou’s | Presented by Red Beryl Studios | RedBerylUSA.com
Presented by Red Beryl Studios.
In this episode, Nick Constantino and Jaron Solomon talk with Grace Mendez of Hotel Claremont and Tiny Lou’s about what Michelin recognition really signals and how the best hospitality brands build repeatable excellence. You will hear a clear breakdown of Michelin’s intent, the experience-led nature of its evaluations, and what it takes to create a property that feels cohesive from arrival to final touch.
This conversation also explores how a historic building can be restored without losing identity, how guest mix evolves over time, and how a restaurant can balance elevated execution with approachability.
• Michelin is fundamentally experience-led, with origins tied to travel and how far an experience is worth going for, which makes it a useful framework for thinking about destination-building.
• Recognition is not only about the plate. Service, cohesion, arrival-to-departure details, and consistency are part of what makes a place memorable.
• Properties that earn attention often have a story people can feel, especially when they preserve identity while upgrading execution and guest experience.
• Staff culture is a competitive advantage. Low turnover and deep buy-in show up in the guest experience in ways marketing alone cannot manufacture.
• A do not leave the building concept works when each venue has a clear role and mood, while still feeling like one brand experience.
• A French-American approach can widen the audience by pairing recognizable comfort with elevated technique and regional influence.
• A disciplined beverage program can remain authentic while still accommodating familiar preferences, and staff education is what turns the list into a guided experience.
• Red Beryl POV: This episode is a blueprint for experience design. When the story, the people, and the touchpoints align, luxury becomes measurable and repeatable.

  1. But why only french? Even the top wine tasters will get tricked by the cheapest stuff walmart, they can easily be tricked into thinking it is high end wine.
