Making Meringues that GLOW IN THE DARK?!

✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 4 large egg whites, room temperature
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ¼ tsp cream of tartar
• Pinch of salt
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp tonic water
• Water-based food coloring (optional)

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a clean, grease-free mixing bowl, combine the egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt. Beat on medium speed until foamy.
3. Gradually add the sugar, about 1 teaspoon at a time, while continuing to beat. Increase the speed to medium-high and whip until stiff, glossy peaks form. The sugar should be fully dissolved and the meringue should hold its shape firmly.
4. Gently mix in the vanilla extract and tonic water. If using food coloring, add it now and fold just until evenly incorporated. Avoid overmixing to preserve volume.
5. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe small swirls onto the prepared baking sheets.
6. Bake for 1 hour, or until the meringues feel dry to the touch. Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside for an additional 1–2 hours to finish drying completely.
7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool fully. Turn on a blacklight and enjoy these glowing treats! 🎉🌟
