Le Colimaçon is tucked in Le Marais, and oui, there’s actually an 🇫🇷escalier en colimaçon, a spiral staircase, inside. It’s been in our family for over 15 years. I even worked there in my 20s, so it truly feels like home to me.

Expect homemade French cuisine made with fresh ingredients. Some of my personal favorites are the snails (🇫🇷les escargots), the savory French toast with duck breast (🇫🇷le pain perdu au magret de canard), the duck confit (🇫🇷le confit de canard), the ribeye steak (🇫🇷l’entrecôte), and the rabbit leg (🇫🇷la cuisse de lapin). And make sure to save room for the chocolate lava cake (🇫🇷le mi cuit au chocolat)!

If you’re learning French, it’s also a great place to practice. Ask for the wine menu (🇫🇷la carte des vins), order in French, and start a conversation. The team is always happy to play along.

Make sure to book in advance since it fills up quickly. They’re open for dinner at 6:30pm every day, and also for lunch on Sundays. Mention Hello French when you book or tell your server for a special treat 💙
