They serve a Branzino at Chef’s Table that both my bride and I love!
Cheesecake at Cops
French onion soup is awesome! The only thing I don’t like about the French thing the soup on Royal Caribbean is that it’s socially unacceptable to chisel at the bowl to get all of the burnt cheese off that taste absolutely amazing!
My tomahawk steak was the worst steak Ive ever had..not cooked right, not cut right, it was awful.
I'm not sure if I've had a better mushroom risotto then what they serve in the main dining room. Absolutely top notch! (P.S. If you ask nicely they may even give you a printed recipe)
The best meal I've ever had from Royal Caribbean is actually off the ship. It is the filet mignon and lobster at Coco Beach Club. This meal has been outstanding every time I've had it.
On the ship, the coconut Ranger cookies are amazing… and free! They are a great snack before bedtime. The French onion soup is the best food in the dining room. The Kimmelweck sandwich is also available at Cafe 270 on ships that don't have a Park Cafe. Don't miss it.
I don’t know if I can trust you anymore. Did you just… eat pizza… with a fork and a knife!?!?!? No. Just no.
The chorizo soup and the french toast. I would have tried more but way busy in there.
i ❤ the key lime pie & the french onion soup. oh and the chocolate chip cookies.
"The best food at sea"? No. The best food on Royal Caribbean? OK.
I cant wait to do royal again
My favorite is Wonderland but I can hardly find ship they will still offer
The World is served at the Chef's Table as well. One of my fav. dining experiences!
I went on Navigator last fall with the UDP. All the food was excellent but to this day I still think about the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad from Chops. I’m not even a salad person but that was hands the down the best salad I’ve ever had and my favorite dish of the entire cruise.
Escargot!!!!!!
We cruise about 6+ times a year now and have been doing the dining package most every cruise since Covid. Matt, I know you don’t like Hooked, but we all love it and usually eat there 2 to 3 nights per cruise. I love the clam chowder, oysters on the half shell, and the lobster tail and filet dinner. The filet is always better than Chops’. I also love the fireside cookie at Playmakers, any pizza at Giovanni’s is far superior to Sorrento‘s. Also, love the escargot in MDR, but we rarely eat there anymore because not much of anything else we care for other than the bread lol. LOVE the Ranger cookies too. The lemon aren’t too bad either. I don’t like anything except the dessert you mentioned and the Cotton Candy Martini at Wonderland. Can’t believe that place stays open. Thanks for your content and safe travels!! We are booked on Icon and Star again before summer. Just got back from another back to back on Utopia. Love cruising!! Love those ships!
Matt, We were on Vision of the Seas in December and the Chef made our table a specialty Indian dish that blew us away. We were told it is one of the most popular take-away dishes in India. You may want to ask your section head waiter in the MDR if they could make it for you on your next cruise.
"Chicken 65"
We loved it so much that we had it 5 times as an appetizer during Our 12 day cruise. We told them they need to add it to the RCL Menu.
Good stuff, we were just on icon and the whole Aqua Dome Market was fantastic, my wife loves getting Indian food in the MDR & I always get their Spaghetti 🍝
We're doing a group cruise on Allure in april, and we were looking forward to Samba Grill. I noticed it's not among the options for specialty dining, and I found a post buried somewhere that said it is in the Solarium Bistro…
Kummelweck and I have ALL the sauces and gravies to the point where it's dripping when I pick it up.
Hands down my FAVORITE food item Pretzel rolls from Chops Grill
I’m surprised you don’t mention the Secret Sandwich 😂
I’m a sucker for the MDR Caribbean night pork chops but the filet mignon at the coco beach club was incredible. When I told our server how much I enjoyed the steak he brought me another. I almost kissed him. 😂
Escargot! Main DR.
So far the worst thing about the cruise that I’m on with Royal Caribbean are their desserts.
They like to use whipped cream when they should be using icing. Just makes desserts taste bland.
Went on utopia of seas last week and the only thing that tasted good was the hot dogs from the dog house, the ice cream from sprinkles, the key lime pie from the main dining room, and the food from el loco fresh. The Indian food was very tasty like you said. The French toast was delicious. Everything else tasted stale and/or reheated. Guess next time we’ll have to spend money and eat at the specialty restaurants.
The coconut shrimp at Perfect Day is amazing. I don't know what they do, but it's crazy good.
not a single seafood dish……dont trust people who dont eat seafood.
Most of these foods are only available on the Icon class of ships🤨
I find the Crepes at Aquadome market place meh. Long wait for mediocre desert and a nightmare for passengers with nut allergies.
I just don’t understand all the hype about the French Onion soup. I’ve tried it several times and I just don’t think it holds a candle to a good French bistro. I also make this soup at home because it’s one of my favorite foods since I was a teenager. The beef broth is not the right consistency and it just falls flat for me. The escargot is excellent on the other hand.
It is disappointing to not see the food on Caribbean night, like oxtail, rice and peas and jerk chicken or pork, etc. mentioned.
Im not a fan of most of MDR food but the French Onion Soup slaps!!
I would add the Crab Cake served in the MDR, that for me was well made and flavorful
The lamb from the solarium bistro needs to be on this list
Osso Buco Gremolata; Almond crusted fried Brie
What ships have the Giovanni’s kitchen
The Indian curry on RC ships is terrible. Totally tasteless with almost zero spice heat. Only an American could think it’s nice.
Agree with the list. My wife and I LOVED Caribbean night at the windjammer. Beef Pattie’s with coco bread and Oxtail!!!!!!!
My son loves all Indian dishes. I love coconut cookies.
I miss the apple blossom.
The spaghetti might be good (I haven't tried it) but the lasagna was NOT good. Yuck!
Sure RC would rotate their meals. I’m eating the same meal I had several years ago. 🤮
Yes!! The spaghetti bolognese from the MDR is actually really good. Love the onion soup too.
I think you missed the fried Oreos from Mason Jar. The coconut shrimp on Caribbean night at the MDR.
Omg I was in the line so long waiting on my crepe
