Le Vignoble de Rhuys Wine Storehouse in Sarzeau is a contemporary winery designed by Carmen Maurice Architecture and completed in 2024. Built around a restored historic mill, the semi-circular structure follows the natural winemaking process using a gravity-fed system. Thick brick walls ensure thermal stability, while lime plaster made from local sands connects the building to Brittany’s maritime landscape. The project symbolizes the revival of viticulture after 70 years, blending heritage, sustainability, and modern architectural precision.
