  1. So looking forward to seeing the wine cave finished. Oh my goodness, wasn’t Galahad so cute all cosy in his bed this morning, no wonder he didn’t want to come out.

  2. Similar thing here in Australia with the dentist. I am around 10 years older than you Steph, and here in my childhood days the dentist was free for public school children. They were dental training schools and each time I went in I came out with a filling even though there was no indication of a problem. Each time I have been to the dentist as an adult I am told how great my teeth are and don’t need any work other than to repair the old fillings I had done as a child. The old fillings crack the teeth and have had to be replaced. I am pretty sure each filling as a child was just a way for them to practice 😬🦷

  3. Stephanie, I don't know if the dentist warned you, but it is absolutely normal to find yourself unknowingly removing your nightguard in your sleep for the first week or so of getting used to it. I kept finding mine under my pillow! After a fortnight that stopped and I was able to wear it through the night without my sleeping self trying to hide the wretched thing from me. My grinding was thought to be mostly relayed to psychological stress. The guard did help reduce the wear and tear on my teeth for a while, but I was told to bring it with me to all further dentist visits and the dentist and technicians would cluster around and marvel at the grooves I had worn into the guard itself since the previous visit. It felt rather like having one's neuroses displayed in the palm of one's hand. 😁😴🦷👀

  4. Getting older! Steph looks like a teenager in that last segment. The holiday is working ! I’ll have what she’s having !

  5. Nightguards take a bit of getting used to, but are well worth it! If you're having too much trouble trying to sleep with it, ask the dentist to grind it down a little bit more — a millimeter can make a big difference in how comfortable it is to wear for the whole night.

  6. Stephanie, I think your mother and my mother are born really close to each other. My mother was born 6/25/41. She is VERY similar to your mother.

  7. Tempting toasties to sink your teeth into and a refreshing smoothie to brush away any lingering post-dentist trauma.

  8. Sorry Philip, but you look even more gorgeous with the shaven look, I love it, not that my opinion matters xox

  9. Wow! I also get the dentist but it’s an obvious health thing you need to do. If not…lose your teeth and have horrible gum disease. Then it’s dentures or gum surgery. I had a lot of cavities as a kid which led to getting crowns as an adult. I’ve also had laser surgery on my gums. It’s no fun that’s for sure. I’m glad Mummy scheduled you and Philip to go to the dentist. It’s amazing what they can do now compared to years ago. And Stephanie…your mouth guard will take some getting used to. It’s like getting retainers after having braces.
One thing I’m curious about is…why didn’t your dentist in France find out about your grinding teeth problem???
I’m just glad this dentist found it…you don’t want to grind your teeth all the way down. South Africa looks fabulous! And your dinner…..amazing and delicious!!! 😋🏝️🥰👍🏻👏😉🐶🍷🙏

  10. Supplementing with Magnesium at night prevents grinding teeth at night. I found out after breaking a tooth. Have been doing it for 20+ years now and no more problems:)

  11. Marie and Pavlina you are gorgeous and marvellous 🤩. And hardworking Chris…. All keeping the home fires burning.
I wish STH Africa showcased Mummy and Percy ( unless they didn’t want this ) and not so focused on Me Me Me.

  12. I've said many times, but Pavlina you are a hard working, creative, beautiful, and a funny gem, well maybe not all of those terms, but so true !!!

  13. The silver lining of the (bite plate) cloud is that you didn’t have to get a bite plate earlierI. I’ve had a bite guard since I was fourteen!😬😉😂
