French IRER 2026 – Menu #7 Vegetable Lasagna | Full Military Ration Review
In today’s episode of The MRE Experience, we take a deep dive into the 2026 French IRER (Ration Individuelle Réchauffable d’Urgence) Menu #7 – Vegetable Lasagna.
The French IRER is France’s single meal combat ration issued to the French Armed Forces. Known for higher ingredient quality and more refined menu concepts than many NATO counterparts, this ration delivers a complete day’s worth of field nutrition in a compact configuration.
In this review, we break down:
• Main entrée: Vegetable Lasagna (fully retort packed)
• Side components and French ration bread
• Cheese or dairy components (if included in this production year)
• Dessert items and snack components
• Beverage powders and accessory packet contents
• Esbit stove heater performance
• Packaging details and 2026 production markings
• Total calorie count and macronutrient overview
• Shelf life expectations and storage considerations
The 2026 Menu #7 offers a meat-free option within the French IRER lineup, giving insight into how France balances field performance with dietary variety. We’ll test the heating system, evaluate texture and flavor, and compare it to U.S. MRE vegetarian menus for context.
As always on The MRE Experience, this is a structured, no-nonsense breakdown covering packaging, nutrition, performance, and real-world field practicality.
If you’re interested in NATO rations, international MRE comparisons, French military field food, or just want to see what a 2026 combat ration looks like inside — this review delivers the full analysis.

  1. Hi Gene!

    Nice review!

I literally opened a RIER for lunch today! Mine had coffee! Crazy! And the delicious chocolate fudge cake thing! I don't care for blue cheese, so I always give those away. Mine had a Cod spread inside too! Chicken couscous menu!

    Take care!

  2. Everything looked good I have a few of these but mine are older I had gotten a lot of my inventory right before and at the start of Covid when it wasn’t hard to get things from overseas
