It was cold. It was raining. So we made fire.
In this episode of Negroni Supper, French Onion Soup is prepared entirely over open flames on a cold, rainy evening.
Slowly caramelized onions melt into a deep, rich broth, finished with toasted bread and bubbling Gruyère under live embers.
No stove. No shortcuts. Just fire, smoke, and patience.
As rain falls around the fire, warmth rises from the cast iron pot.
A simple classic becomes something elemental.
This is comfort food by firelight.

This is truly the perfect weather for an onion soup. But cooked outdoors over the fire, under the rain, I had never seen it before… incredible atmosphere! 😌
