We have just moved into our apartment, so we are in the process of buying furniture.
First purchase: a terracotta leather sofa.
Second big purchase: we’re planning to get a kitchen, but it’s hard to decide. So I’m asking for your advice—what do you think about this kitchen choice and the colors?

The wood tone looks nice but the taupe looks like it’s clashing with the couch a bit currently. Generally I would recommend the darker tone to go on the lower cabinets vs the uppers so it doesn’t feel too heavy at and above eye level. The space will likely feel more closed in with how you have it now. I would probably go warmer wood lowers and then do the painted on the uppers. Just my take – hope it helps!
Also, do the upper cabinets need to be that shape for a particular reason? It looks fairly odd. If they do need to be like that, I’d definitely stick to just one texture and colour for anything sitting above the backsplash.
