  1. My late Korean mother use to make the same dIsh minus the fries. Brings back fond memories. Thanks guys!😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍

  2. OMG!!! I NEED THIS STAT!!! I am making a pilgrimage over there from Los Angeles, California! Surprised a kill joy didn’t protest that name for a change! Never change the name please!! Relax haters, I am Asian and I am 💯 fine with the word oriental! We are from the orient/east so what’s with the hate?

  3. The oriental fries are basically a deconstructed Korean veggie pancake 😊 We love savory pancakes, with veggies, kimchi and/or seafood.

  4. Those fries look like Japanese kakiage. Basically julienned vegetables that are coated in tempura batter and fried.

  5. The mom is right. No Korean woman would be caught dead with a recipe book. The recipe book is in their memories and their taste buds.
It blows my mind that Michelin would award stars for authentic Asian restaurants when western cooking (and French cuisine, Michelin is French) is all about precision: the order of operations, the temperature, the materials of the pots and pans, the ingredient measurements, the time.
Korean cooking is NOT about precision; it’s about taste.
Korean cooking is biology. Michelin ratings is chemistry and physics.
Asian restaurants going for Michelin stars is an insult to their ancestors, the culture, the heritage.
God bless diners like Kitok who are keeping it real in a foreign land. Love live Kitok; i hope the 5th generation keeps it real.
