Hey Joshua! The ability to taste salt gets adjusted based on how much salt you are used to. So if you consume more salt than a normal person, a good level of salt will taste less to you than the average person!
This is the main reason the salt reduction programme in Norway has been so slow and successful, by reducing a little over time the population doesn't realize the difference! Food from the 80s would taste unbelievably salty to us now.
