Quite possibly the coziest pasta dish l’ve ever had.

A friend of mine suggested making this dish and I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did! It feels special, very comforting, and honestly I can’t stop thinking about it.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
2 yellow onions, halved then sliced
Salt & black pepper
2 sprigs fresh thyme
¼ cup cognac
1 tsp sherry vinegar

  1. Crazy pronunciation of Worcestershire sauce. Why is it so hard for Americans to get right?

    Recipe sounds lovely, though.

  2. I would add red wine to the sauce and top the dish with grated and melted Swiss cheese to be in keeping with French onion soup that was the original source of inspiration .I would serve it with toasted garlic bread and glass of 🍷 to compliment the texture and flavors.Dessert would also be French inspired fresh berries ,whipped cream atop cream cheese filled pastry .

  3. … additionally,I would also serve it with a broiled juicy filet mignon and a spring mix salad with light French vinaigrette dressing .The onions in the pasta sauce would have some texture, not over cooked in the sauce, ideally.

  4. Soooo.. an french onion soup that had been too long on the stove? /tease

    Pretty clever 😊

  5. Americans trying to pronounce Worcestershire sauce is always a good laugh…."war-chester-shire" 😂😂
