Yes yes yes this wine is such good value. So often when I see restaurants with shitty wines in the marked up equivalent of a $20 bottle, I always think of this exact bottle and how much better it is than what they’re offering. All 3 of the bottlings from them are excellent!
We visited this estate many years ago when we spent a month in France using Kermit Lynch's "Adventures on the Wine Route" as our travel guide book.
Deeply soulful wines, kind and humble owners, a gorgeous and under appreciated region. Thank you so much for sharing this domaine and your contagious love for wines from this area with us.
Corbières and its neighbours were some of the wines that started my wine appreciation journey many years ago. I was fortunate to live in a place (Québec) where there was a great selection of these wines. But I do think there are too many appellations in the Languedoc for the average consumer to understand. It might be better if the bottles reflected the broadly shared character of the wines in this region, rather than having to figure out for yourself that a Corbières might be similar to the Minervois on the shelf.
Thank you for another great wine suggestion! I have been able to pick up many of the wines you have suggested in previous videos and have never been disappointed!
Good stuff comes from down South. Think of SW France as a transition zone between Bordeaux, NE Spain, and the Rhone. Thanks Bob for highlighting wines from SW France. Madiran, Cahor, Corbieres, and maybe someday, Pic Saint Loup.

Such an underrated region. They have come so far from the “bulk” wine days. I don’t think I’ve had a bad wine yet from the region.

My only Austrian wine is a Gut Oggau-Joschuari Rot Blaufrankisch 2021.
