1940: Josephine Baker was the biggest star in Paris. American-born. Superstar singer and dancer. The Nazis saw her as harmless. A woman who lived for feathers and applause.
They were catastrophically wrong.
When the French Resistance approached her, she didn’t hesitate: “France made me who I am. I will give her my life.”
She became a spy. She attended Nazi parties. Flirted with generals. Poured wine for Hermann Göring. While they relaxed, she memorized troop locations. Mussolini’s invasion plans.
Then she smuggled it out. Intelligence reports written in invisible ink—lemon juice—on her sheet music. Documents sewn into silk dresses. Photographs of German landing craft pinned inside her underwear.
At border checkpoints, guards froze: “It’s Josephine Baker!” They asked for autographs. She smiled. Waved through.
She walked past machine guns carrying the secrets that would destroy them.
1975: France gave her a 21-gun salute. Full military honors. First American woman ever. The Croix de Guerre. The Legion of Honor.
The best disguise isn’t a lie. It’s just a really good performance.

Fantastic
Pretty sad, she had to leave a place she grew up in to be accepted across an ocean by the same race that denied her.
Bless you XX💞
An Angel
And America would still turn it's back on her.
She was a very brave woman ❤
Loved by foreigners but hated by her own people the Americans who was racist towards her and would not even allow her to perform in her own country. Black people are the most loyal people in the world.
Cheers to a Hero
and a great entertainer
This channel is exactly what I needed I learned a lot from it.

Very amazing Woman and a story I never heard of till today ❤
Look how America leaders who reaped freedom and financial prosperity is treating that race of people now ungrateful and un thankful. The message coming from this nation is loud and clear to me now the black race ain't nothing but somebody we can trample on because we have the most money
Ungrateful and un thankful. Her Helping this nation was all for as dad used to say was for naught. And you can believe that.
The idea is worth sharing It helped me understand better.
