It's always a toss up for me between Mcdonalds and Five Guys. They always hit.
Best French Fries and fast food don't belong in the same sentence. The best fries are Steak fries, since they have the highest potato to skin ratio of all french fries and are only sold in some sitdown/casual restaurants. Fast Food fries have so little potato in comparison it's pathetic.
McDonalds fries are always #1 on these lists. They are good but they are not all that great to beat some others. They were the best for a long time back in the day but not anymore.
When McDonald's cooks their fries RIGHT, they are Unbeatable! But its not often they cook them right or you get a good batch.
Wendy's ORIGINAL fries woulda been a top contender for number 1 spot.
They fell off with the 'Natural cut' bs.

I remember when Wendy's introduced their new fries, and I thought they were better than the old ones. I remember that commercial where they had a huge line of people hand in hand to try out the new fries. But the guy at the start just kept eating them and then ran away with everyone else running after him.
I love McDonald's French fries and I knew they'd be number one on this list!
