Islington has a fantastic new French bistro – here’s a look inside.

In the place that used to be Smokehouse, there’s an excellent new French restaurant that you should definitely check out. Bistro Sablé reinvents the space as a classic French bistro and everything we had was just fantastic. The soufflé was as good as the one in Josephine and that beef bourgignon is just made for cold, wet London days like now. Make sure to get the made-to-order madeleines too.

All that and the negronis are only a fiver and every bottle on the wine list is available by the glass or carafe. If you live in Islington this is a must-visit, but frankly it’s worth travelling to – it’s just very, very good. Check the link in our bio for more. (invite)
