  1. You have to cook the onions longer, it takes longer than you think and they have to be dark brown. And using a beef stock is so much better!!! Try it that way and you'll agree!!!😊😊😊

  2. You should need to cook the onions longer to caramelize them. Or hotter. But those onions weren't done. They should be darker brown before you add any liquid.
