Wine tasting of the 2023 vintage from Bordeaux, Union Grands Crus. Good vintage, but not quite up to the 2022s. Prices are down about 25% to 30% versus the previous vintage. I tasted seventy wines, I’ve highlighted some of my favorites in this YouTube short.

Château LAGRANGE ❤
You had a very good day, indeed. Prices down? Chateau Carbonnieux. Way back in the early 1980's, this wine could be had for $12.99. Times change. Lynch Bages, we used to call Lunch Bags. In a past life, I had tried/bought many of the wines mentioned. A different time. A better time. Thank you for your posts. They bring back great memories of happier and less expensive times.
23 Lagrange was indeed epic. The 23 Cantenac brown starts off very green but comes around. Overall, for me, 2023 was a massive hit-or-miss vintage.
Fabulous tasting! I'm well-jel 😂❤
it's a merry celebration to enjoy a good vintage with so many regional stakeholders!
Did you Get to try montrose and les carmes Haut brion?
Bordeaux is hilariously political.
This is like the government saying they’re putting taxes up by 100%, but you’re going to get a 25% reduction on that new price! 😂
Great stuff. Im a little Bordeaux heavy in my cellar, 18 labels, 67 bottles, including a case of 22 Giscours I picked up before the rankings but I’m sure I can make some room. 😎😎.
did you get to try Haut Bages Libéral?
Wow, very jealous of all the great wines you got to taste. In my dreams
I went to the one in London in November. Great night.
Did you have a chance to taste Pichon Lalande?
Interesting, thanks for the information, Bob!
Thanks! I'm more interested in knowing what to avoid 😂
