French Toast (Cinnamon Swirl Bread!)

Ingredients
• 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread (or brioche / French breadsticks / Aunt Millie Artisan bread)
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup whole milk
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
• Pinch of salt
• ¼ cup sugar
• Butter + a little oil (for frying)

For Serving
• 2 cups mixed berries
• Whipped cream
• Maple syrup

Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar until smooth.
2. Dip each slice of cinnamon swirl bread into the custard mixture and let it soak for a few seconds on both sides.
3. Heat a pan on medium-low, then add butter + a little oil.
4. Fry each slice on medium-low heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
5. Serve warm with berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup.
