How about the myth that you need sunscreen AT ALL if you spend less than 20 minutes in direct sunlight daily?
Many people overestimate how much time they're outside or in front of a window.
Laura I have tried about 6 different foundations. They all look orange on my neutral light beige skin. I finally tried Luxe brand foundation that is white when applied and then matches you skin. Well I love it! It is the neutral color and it looks amazing. That will be my fou dation of choice. I am 71 and I'm co Stanly looking to improve my look as I age. This is a little break in the rules, but I don't care. It works for me and I never burn.
I mix one or two drops of Catrice HD Liquid foundation into my sunscreen. It make me a custom shade tinted foundation and softens the shine of the sunscreen. It doesn't mattify but it just makes it look softer and less greasy.

Hi Laura I think the myth on social media is the impression it's normal for everyone to have injectables, procedures and surgery – it's fine for those who want to and can afford to, but it's not the normal here in Scotland at least. Nor is absolutely full glam makeup for everyone every day here. In fact many women wear no makeup at all and some only for a special occasion. The other thing is huge collections of makeup for those who don't create social media content – most of my friends have a small makeup bag with a few well used items they replace when they run out. I'm a beauty lover and have a fair bit of makeup but I am not the normal here at least 😂. I still wear shimmer, lighter weight complexion products and strive for smooth glossy curls😂😂. Best wishes x
Laura Rae, I completely agree on the lipstick. At 73 years young, lip color really adds life to my look, and if a color is bolder, but the formula is lightweight or moisturizing, I love it. Also, if really too dark, I just blot and add a bit of gloss. But I can honestly do my hair, all my makeup,….and without lipstick I look so blah💄😊 Also battling the dull hir issue, so I am curious about the gloss. Great video. I have rediscovered Laura Geller. There is a new skin tint I really like. Very moisturizing and a light to medium coverage. I also use the Double Take baked foundation over it sparingly. Of course the Baked Balance and Brighten is always good. I also got the RSVP palette and pull it out almost everyday to use at least one thing. After you put on foundation, it’s a one and done!

Here’s a VERY inexpensive recommendation that works so well: Blistex medicated tube ointment in a tube. Not a waxy stick. This ointment gives your lips a super smooth look. Use under or over a lippie. Or, just by itself. I i use with a lip liner. You get a plump, juicy lip. ❤
