In July, I was invited to participate in an art residency in the Gers region of southwest France. I lived in the beautiful Château Bouscassé with two other wood sculptors and we created #woodsculptures to help raise awareness of disappearing #insect populations due to overuse of #pesticides. These vinyards do their best to limit the use of chemicals in #wineproduction both to be more #ecofriendly and produce a better flavor. I had such an incredible experience there. I loved the food, the wine, and the charming people I met. Merci beaucoup, to Wagdy Kotb and Annaliese Martin for helping with translations and to STIHL France for letting me borrow some #chainsaws! #womenwhotravel #chainsawsculpture #carverlife
