zabaglione is a alcohol based custard, its a little different from your typical custard. My dad used to make it for us as kids and we loved it, but it does have a different taste then you'd expect xD

Oh Timmy, thank you! You brought back a memory. When I was 18 my friend and I took a trip to England, we booked everything in advance and were staying at mostly lower end hotels since we were carrying backpacks etc … but we accidentally booked a very fancy hotel. We were planning to eat at their restaurant since there wasn't really much nearby. But we saw the menu in the elevator and felt like we didn't know how to eat anything on it. The only thing I remember was Duck A La Rang. So we chickened out and ordered soup from room service. It was really good, Potato Leek. I haven't thought of that in years. Glad you didn't chicken out!
