People mocking UK dishes, food culture and history. I'm from Finland and I feel safe to say that we are at very bottom of those things. Yes, we get nice food at some restaurants, but they are usually origined from other countries. The traditional foods we make at home could be called gray and bland. And this take is from someone who is willing to eat pretty much anything taste wise.
Is that healthy ?
Make bread pudding instead
Make it even more decadent by going half milk and half cream, also you can do some more savory variations by removing about half of the sugar and adding something like wild garlic. Goes fantastic with smoked salmon
Hey guys… French roast is only French by name. It's not a French dish.
The name French toast originates from a 1724 grammatical error by an American innkeeper named Joseph French.
Legend says he advertised the dish as "French Toast" instead of "French's Toast" because he forgot the apostrophe.
While the name is American, the dish itself dates back to the Roman Empire in the 4th century.
The French actually call it pain perdu, meaning "lost bread", because the recipe was designed to "rescue" stale bread that would otherwise be thrown away.
Are British people just born good narrators
Torrija 😏🤫
Nobody cares about the gender politics just give the information

I was digging it until the slab of sugar added onto it
Not worth it for something I'll be done eating in 3 minutes.
Milk is too runny, not enough of an “eggy” crust on the bread, no cinnamon, too much sugar, most of the sweetness should come from the maple syrup, and it’s slightly burnt. Hard pass.
It’s just French toast lol.
That looked burnt
Das a big ahh toast
That IS NOT French toast 🤣🤣 Brit toast apparently
I left after vanilla and sugar. Yeah no
Shit things taste netter with that much sugar. So sick of foods like this that take fine meals and make them unhealthy. Lmao
Only a couple more steps than my wonder bread dipped in egg nog…
all michelin food is just normal food made while talking pompously and using big words. Dude has done nothing special
Basic ass grilled cheese with a bunch of extra shit it doesn't need. Thank god we stopped giving a shit in 1776.

City Bakery was doing an even better version of this exact thing for years in NYC. Caramelized French Toast
Imagine making this
Fun fact: mix milk and eggs with recipes like this, and use water for scrambled, omelets, etc. The water steams and puffs it up.
Cinnamon 🤔
What’s better though? French Toast or French Toast sticks??
