Happy New Year! ✨
Yesterday, I had groceries delivered and these croissants didn’t taste as fresh. Best by date is today, so I thought I’d use some of it up by making French toast. This is just one way to use up croissants. It’s simple and delicious. Most of all, it tastes fresh after. 😋
All you need – measurements to taste:
•croissants, cut lengthwise – stale, leftover, day old preferred (I used 4)
•eggs (2)
•milk (1/2 cup or so)
•vanilla extract
•syrup (Log Cabin)
•cinnamon
•spray or oil, to pan-sear
Directions
•Combine all the ingredients in a medium size bowl, besides the croissants and spray. Whisk to combine.
•Grease a large pan on medium-high heat.
•Once heated, dip croissants in mixture. Do not oversoak.
•Transfer to pan and cook by pan-searing all over. Do this until golden brown and all sides have a slightly brown crust.
•Turn off heat and serve with your favorite fruits, syrup and or whipped cream. Enjoy!
