Aloha, Misty! Dunno how credible it is but saw on-line somewhere…the Smoking Boar & the Coconut is closing? Like i said, dunno how t/f it is but, if it's true…That would be a shame coz All these Mom/Pop's shops need our support/patronage, especially Waialua/Haleiwa/Kahuku establishments!….HNY to you/Aiden. I had a reservation for Faria last May after watching your review and had to cancel. I totally forgot to re-book. Now I will. Thanks for the list and thanks for the reminder. Great places you went to. I didnt care for one of them that I went to which I will not identify because maybe I just didn't order the right thing which was expensive and a manini portion contrary to your experience so people should go and decide for themselves.
I made reservations at Chao for next month! We’ve been watching the second season of Culinary Class Wars and I want to try Okdongsik too. Hopefully soon🤞🏼

Very fantastic choices here, especially Michel’s at the number two spot! I hope one day I’ll be able to take the wifey to such a beautiful restaurant. On my birthday, a few days ago… We went to “53 by the Sea” and the experience was amazing! The food was top notch high quality cuisine and the service was very excellent, but I sure do miss the fishes that swam by at the old Jon Damanis!! Misty, have you been??

Awesome list. A lot of Vietnamese restaurants made the list. I am glad you emphasized that these were your personal favorites, because there are a lot of good restaurants out there and not everyone likes spicy food or a particular kind of cuisine. Keep doing what you do.

PORTUGUESE PRIDE😉😆Just like someone stated before, we, too, had reservations but had to cancel due to my appendicitis. We do need to remake reservations. I their wait list is 3 months long before 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤙Loved the year recap.. I hope to visit sme of these when I'm in the areas. God bless🤙
You should try that dim sum of jade garden ala moana mall at lunch time, top floor parking there, may be busy but its a little of a wait but i highly recommend this dim sum restaurant i ate majority of there dim sums, I never complaint, it was a great 4 star dim sum chinese restaurant!!! marty
