I love my homemade hamburgers, they dont compare to frozen or fast food!! I microwave my french fries first for 5 mins( cooks inside out) then fry to crisp! Cooks half the time, and there not crisp on outside n hard in middle Cool heating pad! The onion rings look good! Yes, i like a thicker crust . I agree, it's impossible to find a good burger out anymore. Unless it's a mom and pops restaurant that makes their own. Now I know what I'd been doing wrong. I use to think you had to role the onion in an egg mixture and bread with corn meal. I'm 69 and still learning something new everyday! I've been making french fries in my air fryer. I may have to try the onion rings in there. I love it.
Well I'm amazed Mama Ree, I finally learned in my senior years how to make the perfect homemade onion ring with a double batter. I'm addicted to them & spent an arm & leg for years at restaurants. New sub, I want to see more simple home cooked meals. Blessings for all that is good in the new year.
What I want to know is how the Camera Lady didn’t swipe a couple of those onion rings when Ms. Ree’s back was turned! 😋

Just so you know, canola oil, or any vegetable oil for that matter, is not "grease" Grease is used to lubricate metal. They call it canola oil because it is, in fact, oil, not grease.

Vegetable oil and canola oil are VERY unhealthy. Try avocado oil. It has a high flash point, no taste, and is healthy.
