Champagne is taken very seriously in our house…especially when there’s a French husband involved who knows the proper French pronunciation and has a perfect French accent. 🍾🇫🇷 @veuveclicquot @ChampagneTaittinger @Champagne-billecartFr @moet
In this video, we dive into the world of Champagne through a French-American lens, covering how Champagne is traditionally enjoyed in France, why pronunciation actually matters, and how Americans tend to say Champagne brands very differently. From famous Champagne houses like Billecart-Salmon to Dom Pérignon, this turns into a fun (and slightly ruthless) lesson in bubbles.
If you love Champagne, sparkling wine, French culture, French accents, or learning how to pronounce luxury brands correctly (or incorrectly 😅), this video is for you. Pour a glass and join us 🥂

Which Champage will you toast for New Years Eve? Quel champagne allez-vous ouvrir pour le réveillon du Nouvel An ? 🍾🥂👇
Not much of a Champagne fan myself. In my mind, Champagne is for very important celebrations. Like christening an ocean liner for example… I’m joking. Crash some generic bottle of sparkling wine on the hull of a ship.
Haven’t heard of several of those Champagne brands mentioned in the video. Something tells me that the unknown ones to me might very well be superior to a Moët & Chandon for example.
For New Year’s Eve, I have chosen a bottle of Lebanese rosé. The domaine is named Les Trois Collines and it’s a Pinot noir monocépage. I’ve already liked a red wine of theirs made of Merlot and Sangiovese.
I’m curious: how would an American pronounce ‘boeuf bourguignon’, if it hasn’t been mentioned in a previous video? 😁
A Happy New Year to you and many coming years full of joy!
happy holidays! Came for the champagne but sorry not sorry stayed for the 🐈⬛ !!🙀😻
Et pas boulanger lol😂
She is a natural. Very good pronunciation when she tries to pronounce properly.
🇫🇷 Très amusant ! 😊 French is not so easy to pronounce correctly for a non-French speaker!
What nice and cozy video 😊.
Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon would have to be the dominant champagnes you find in the Lebanese scene, with Veuve Clicquot occasionally making an appearance, Taittinger I’ve had in France a few centuries ago when my palette was basically nonexistent 😂as for Bollinger I know only by name, I’m interested in other champagnes I don’t know, I’m not a connaisseur, just curious 😊.
There’s a bottle of wine on the wings of which our flight is scheduled for New Year’s Eve, at home of course.
I’m a big fan of a Lebanese cépage called Obeidi/Obaideh (depends on if you say it in French or English) and ours will be a Lebanese wine, a local monocépage from Château Musar called Obeidy
On that note I do wish you a happy new year and thank you again for sharing with us, cheers 🥂😊
Et le Champomy, nom de dieu ! The Tchem-pow-mee.🍾🥂
😢please try Cadillac, Detroit, Bâton Rouge, and so on.
Merci pour vos vidéos
