Korean air is amazing. And as sexist as it is all the flight attendants are adorable, friendly and I swear they just hire clones. But free beer, meals every few hours, great tv/movie options. I mean seat size in space is pretty much the same but the service and food make it all worth it. If you you’re gonna have to sit down for 12 hours.

I am a New Zealander and I have had the misfortune to fly Air New Zealand many times. The best food and service I have ever had was barely average. The worst was unacceptable. Now Air New Zealand frequently gets rated amongst the best of all airlines. That rating must come from foreign travellers because as soon as the staff hear a kiwi accent they barely go through the motions . Maybe that's what happens to you with American airlines.
