Stephanie Miller sits down with Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks for a powerful conversation about presidential accountability, the legacy of Nixon’s pardon, and why America can’t afford to “move on” from Trump’s crimes.
Jill Wine-Banks argues that Ford’s pardon of Nixon set a dangerous precedent — one that echoes today as Trump’s alleged criminal behavior tests the limits of justice and democracy. Stephanie and Jill unpack what a Presidential Crimes Commission should look like, and why letting leaders off the hook only deepens the national nightmare.

Jack Smith needs to head this and appoint others to the board.
Jill Wine-Banks says it right. MAYBE, if Nixon had been made to face justice, it would have been a warning at the very least.
Ford must have agreed with Jill, as he felt it was necessary to pardon Nixon…
Gerald Ford is responsible for giving us Trump.
Obviously, nobody learned anything
When taco was convicted of the 34 felonies he was just a regular citizen . That judge should have sentenced him to prison time. What other regular citizen with 34 felonies doesn't get jail time? Just another lousy enabler
Thank you for saying Nixon should not have been pardoned. I watched every minute of the televised Watergate hearings. I was livid then and still am that he was not held accountable.
Nixon was a saint compared to Trump.
F*ck Truth and Reconciliation, I want Truth and Retribution
If there is a presidential crime commission for Trump, we should appoint Merrick Garland to run it.
Just kidding!
NO MOVING ON. ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL.
