Ingredients:
Potatoes – 6 to 8 medium size, thinly sliced (round)
Cream – 600 g
Milk – 450 g
Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
White pepper powder – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Dried oregano – ¼ tsp
Dried basil – ¼ tsp
Dried parsley – ½ tsp
Bay leaves – 2
Unsalted butter – 2 tbsp
Marble cheese or mozzarella – as required
Recipe:
1️⃣ Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a pot, add cream, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, white pepper, salt, oregano, basil, parsley, and bay leaves.
Stir and heat on medium flame until it becomes warm (do not boil).
Remove bay leaves.
2️⃣ Assemble the Potatoes
Grease a baking dish with unsalted butter.
Lay a layer of thinly sliced potatoes.
Pour some of the warm cream mixture on top.
Repeat layering until all potatoes are used.
3️⃣ Bake
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 minutes.
Sprinkle marble cheese or mozzarella on the top layer and bake another 10-12 minutes until golden.
5️⃣ Serve
Let it rest 10 minutes before cutting.
